1- Why did the U.S. avoid involvement in WWII until December 1941? Why was the Pearl Harbor attack such a shock to the U.S.?
They avoided the war because there was no reason for us to get involved, It was such a shock because we were at peace with japan.

2- Why was the invention of penicillin so important in the context of WWII? What were some other advances in medicine that were important during the war?
To save peoples lies and to help when they need surgery. Blood banks and fake eye balls were another advance in medicine.

Women were asked to come and work in the factories to help build stuff for the war and make weapons. Yes i believe this helped their right because it shows they can do a mans work.

It helped the the segregation act in the 50's and 60's,

5- What were some of the arguments for and against using the atomic bomb? it could destroy whole cites and people shouldn't be killed like thats because it is nonhuman.

6- Overall, what were the consequences of WWII for the United States? How was the U.S. changed by the war? we became a super power and finished the war. it made us rich and powerful and we became too cocky.

7- Why do you think Japanese Americans were interned in camps during WWII? The U.S. government later apologized to Japanese Americans for these actions. Do you think a similar situation could happen in our world today? Discuss (MINIMUM 7 to 10 sentence well constructed explanation of your point of view) We put the japanese-Americans in camps because we weren't sure who to trust and they could have spies in the country. I believe that if we were attacked again than yes we might put them in camps again to just make sure that there are no spies. We are desperate to stay a free country so we will do everything in our power to stay free. so if that means we need to put people in camos to stay safe then yes we will do it again.
